Jack Palance: “St. Peter--I crap bigger than him”

Screen legend Jack Palance may be dead but his comedic timing lives on.
Upon reaching the Pearly Gates, the 6-foot-4 Palance, who passed away in his California home last Friday at the age of 87, motioned toward the 5-foot-6 St. Peter and loudly spoke his now-famous line from the 1992 Academy Awards, leaving the apostle and the throng of Christians waiting to enter Heaven doubled over in laughter.
“We’re thrilled to have Mr. Palance with us,” said Jesus, of the gravely-voiced actor. “He has that certain, how do you say, je ne sais quoi.”
Later, Palance was seen doing one-handed pushups in the garden as a crowd cheered, according to news correspondent Ed Bradley.
